Material: Bronze
Size: 40mm w × 65mm h
Description: This piece is a genuine, die-cast blackened brass military cap badge belonging to The Kaffrarian Rifles, a prominent reserve infantry regiment of the South African Army based out of East London. The insignia features a detailed central African buffalo head enclosed within a circular title scroll that bears the regiment's name and their Latin motto, "Nunc Animis" (meaning "Now with Courage"). The entire setting is beautifully surmounted by a classic King's Tudor Crown, denoting British colonial-era alignment, while the reverse side features the authentic un-hallmarked configuration of dual fixing lugs paired with a horizontal securing pin.
