Privacy Policy

CenturyTreasures uses information to run this collection website, respond to enquiries and fulfil orders. This page explains what happens when you browse, contact us or make a purchase.

Information we use

• Enquiries: When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, message and any item reference you provide. Contact form messages are delivered by email. Please do not send card details or other sensitive information in a message.
• Orders: We keep records of purchased items, amounts, payment references and order status. Stripe collects contact, billing and shipping information during checkout, which we can access to fulfil your order and answer payment enquiries.
• Payment information: You enter card details on Stripe’s hosted checkout. Our website does not receive or store your full card number or security code.
• Technical information: Our hosting services may record IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and errors. We use this information to operate and protect the site. Our contact form also uses an IP-based limit to reduce spam.

Browser storage and cookies

The catalogue does not currently include advertising trackers or an analytics service. It uses browser storage for these functions:

• Shopping cart: Item references, titles and displayed prices are saved on your device so your cart can survive a refresh or later visit. This storage has no automatic expiry; removing items, completing a confirmed purchase or clearing site data updates or removes the saved contents.
• Appearance: Browser storage can remember a selected light or dark theme.
• Checkout attempts: Temporary storage associated with your browser tab remembers a checkout attempt so a retry can reuse it. This normally ends when the tab session ends; browser session restoration can preserve it.

These functions use local storage or session storage rather than advertising cookies. You can remove them through your browser’s site-data settings. Doing so may clear your cart and preferences; it does not cancel an order or payment.

When you follow a payment or support link, Stripe operates the checkout page and may use its own cookies and similar technologies for payment processing, fraud prevention and optional features. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Service providers and sharing

We use hosting and email providers to run the website and handle correspondence, Stripe to process payments, and shipping carriers to deliver purchases. These providers receive information needed for their services and may process it in other countries. We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information when legally required.

Records and retention

Order and payment records are kept for fulfilment, support, accounting and resolving disputes. Correspondence, technical logs and backups are also retained; their retention depends on their purpose and the services involved. Restocking an item does not erase its original order or payment record. Clearing your browser data does not delete records held by us or Stripe.

Questions and requests

You can ask about the information we hold, request corrections or request deletion by emailing admin@centurytreasures.org. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or unresolved transactions.
