Description: This item consists of an unseparated horizontal strip of three 5-cent United States definitive postage stamps from the Prominent Americans Issue. Printed in a rich shade of deep blue ink, each individual stamp features a meticulously engraved bust portrait of George Washington facing forward. The textual frame balances the vertical phrase "UNITED STATES" along the left margin with the leader's surname "WASHINGTON" across the top, followed by a large numeric denomination "5¢" nestled in the upper right corner. The specimens are cleanly detached from a large printed sheet pane, showing intact decorative paper perforations along all four edges of every stamp, and remain completely uncanceled without any standard black ink postal marks.
