U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division Shoulder Patch – "Screaming Eagles"

Under Review

Material: Embroidered cloth shoulder patch.

Size: 61mm w x 90mm h

Description: The distinctive shield-shaped cloth patch features a bold, left-facing white bald eagle head with a sharp golden beak and an open red tongue set against a solid black backdrop. Crowning the main shield is a separate, arched black fabric tab beautifully embroidered with the word "AIRBORNE" in thick, vibrant yellow block lettering. The 90mm tall specimen displays dense, high-quality embroidery stitch lines completely enclosed by a clean, tight black marrowed border that protects the edges of the heavy twill backing material.

Notes:

The 101st Airborne Division, famously nicknamed the "Screaming Eagles," originally adopted this ferocious emblem during World War II, basing the design on "Old Abe"—a famous bald eagle mascot that Wisconsin regiments carried into battle during the American Civil War.
