Description: This is a Great Britain 1-shilling 6-pence (1/6) definitive postage stamp from the celebrated Wilding series. The design features a prominent central oval containing a three-quarter profile portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II facing left. The oval frame is flanked by the words "POSTAGE" on the left and "REVENUE" on the right. The background layout is heavily decorated with traditional heraldic floral emblems representing the nations of the United Kingdom: the English Rose (top left), the Scottish Thistle (top right), the Welsh Leek (bottom left), and the Irish Shamrock (bottom right). The denomination "1/6" is cleanly centered at the bottom. This particular specimen is a used stamp showing remnants of a dark, sweeping postal cancellation mark over the Queen’s face.
