Description: This 37-penny commemorative postage stamp was issued by the Royal Mail as part of the "Women of Achievement" set, celebrating influential 20th-century female icons. Designed by Stephanie Nash of Michael Nash Associates, the stark design showcases a black-and-white photograph of the famous Gothic fiction writer paired with a classic mechanical keyboard layout. A silver-blue cameo silhouette of Queen Elizabeth II anchors the top right corner, while the author's name is subtly integrated directly into the image elements. The stamp was meticulously produced using a high-fidelity photogravure printing technique by the security firm Harrison & Sons Limited.

Circa: 1996

Condition: MNH

Notes:

The specific typewriter depicted on this stamp holds substantial historical significance, as it was directly photographed from Daphne du Maurier's personal writing room at the historic Jamaica Inn in Cornwall.
