Description: This striking British decimal stamp features a vivid night-time photograph by David Lyons depicting a massive, roaring fire roaring inside an elevated iron basket beacon structure. The intense, windswept orange and amber flames contrast sharply against a deep twilight-blue sky, casting a warm glow over a distant silhouetted landscape of trees and a smaller secondary torch. The upper-left corner displays Arnold Machin’s iconic silver-grey profile silhouette of Queen Elizabeth II, while the face value "19" is cleanly stamped in the bottom right. Printed vertically along the right-hand margin is the gray caption text reading "Millennium 2000/5 / Beacons across the land."
