Description: This striking 35-penny commemorative stamp features a bold, comic-book style illustration depicting a massive, menacing extraterrestrial figure looking downward. Jagged turquoise lettering reading Alien Invasion slashes across the lower right section of the graphic scene, framed by a vivid purple border. Vertical text along the left edge reads The War of the Worlds, while the author's name H G Wells is subtly printed in the bottom right corner. The upper left corner balances the layout with a large numeral 35 inside an oval, positioned directly underneath a gold silhouette profile of Queen Elizabeth II.
