Treasure detail

Queen Elizabeth II Scottish Regional Block

Under Review

Description: The item is a mint-condition block of six regional definitive postage stamps issued by Great Britain's Royal Mail specifically for use within Scotland. Printed in a deep bronze-green shade, each individual stamp showcases the classic Dorothy Wilding photographic portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II framed inside a central oval. The surrounding regional ornamentation features a Scottish thistle placed prominently in each of the upper corners, flanked by stylized Celtic scrollwork along the side borders. Curving banners directly below the portrait read "POSTAGE" and "REVENUE," resting immediately above a dark triangular base field that frames a clear, crisp "9d" value denomination.

Circa: 1967
