Description: This crescent-shaped brass shoulder insignia displays the cutout uppercase text "W.YORK," which designates the historic West Yorkshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's Own). The block letters are structurally linked along the base by an integrated, curved brass framing rail to ensure rigidity under field conditions. The reverse face features two sturdy, unmarked hexagonal lug fasteners soldered onto the outer flanks, designed to pierce uniform epaulets and anchor safely via cotter pins. A naturally aged, reflective golden-ochre patina covers the ruggedly stamped metallic surface, which shows faint surface abrasions from genuine historical use and storage.
