Territorial Army Service Corps West Lancashire Shoulder Title

Under Review

Material: Brass
Size: 55mm (width) × 41mm (height)
Description: This item is a distinct, three-tiered die-cast brass military shoulder title badge designed for a service uniform tunic. The top tier features a large, solitary capital letter "T," which is stacked symmetrically above the middle acronym row reading "ASC" for the Army Service Corps. The entire upper unit rests atop a sweeping, downward-curved bottom scroll that cleanly spells out "W. LANCASHIRE" in matching raised serif capital letters. The golden-brass metal displays a deep aged patina with darkened tarnish pooling in the recessed gaps, while the unmarked reverse retains its three original wire loop lugs linked horizontally by a single long cotter pin.
Circa: 1908–1918
Notes:

This specific shoulder insignia corresponds directly to the West Lancashire Divisional Transport and Supply Column, a regional auxiliary unit of the Territorial Force established under the Haldane Reforms of 1908. The large letter "T" at the crown explicitly designates the wearer as a "Territorial" citizen-soldier rather than a member of the regular standing army.
