Material: Brass
Size: 52mm w × 11mm h
Description: This British military artifact consists of a curved brass shoulder title paired with its original rectangular backing plate. The primary insignia features the word "S. LANCASHIRE" executed in open-work block letters, contoured into a distinct crescent shape that follows the natural line of a tunic seam. Layered directly beneath the lettering is a separate, flat brass plate pierced with a series of precise vertical slats, creating a grid pattern that provides extra structural reinforcement. The back of the main title is fitted with dual unbranded loops that extend through the slots of the backing plate, which are then locked fast against a uniform strap by a single horizontal retaining cotter pin.
