Seaforth Highlanders Brass Shoulder Title

Under Review

Material: Brass (gilt tone, field-aged)
Size: 51mm w × 14mm h
Description: This item is a die-struck brass metal uniform shoulder title configured in an inverted arc featuring the cut-out block lettering "SEAFORTH". The insignia was designed with a dual-lug mounting system on the reverse to receive a cotter pin or split pin for secure attachment to a soldier's uniform fabric. The specific item exhibits an even, aged patina across its polished brass surface, though it retains only one of its original mounting lugs, with the second lug absent from historical wear.
Circa: 1908-1961
Notes:

The Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's) was a historic infantry regiment of the British Army with deep roots in the northern Scottish Highlands. This curved brass design became standardized across the British line infantry following the 1908 army reforms, serving as a primary means of unit identification throughout both World War I and World War II. Units of the Seaforth Highlanders fought with immense distinction across global theaters, earning battle honors from the muddy trenches of the Western Front to the scorching deserts of North Africa and the dense jungles of Burma.
