Cheshire Cloth Scout District Patch

Under Review

Material: Woven / embroidered cloth.

Size: 52mm w x 60mm h.

Description: The square cloth insignia features a multi-colored machine-embroidered layout rendered cleanly over a dark, charcoal-black woven twill fabric backing pane. The central focal axis displays a classic heater-shaped heraldic shield stitched in a rich violet-blue fill thread bounded by a thick golden-yellow outer embroidery border. Nestled inside the shield configuration rests a prominent golden-yellow wheat garbe sheaf design rising above an upward-curving regional title ribbon scroll that cleanly displays the text "CHESHIRE" in bold block capital lettering. The lower endpoints of the title banner scroll terminate in two stylized, symmetrically balanced animal head profiles or floral flourishes. The outer fabric edges are finished cleanly with an integrated merrowed border trim, showing minor loose yellow thread points along the uppermost edge indicating direct removal from a camp blanket or uniform shirt sleeve.

Circa: Mid-20th century.

Notes:

Scout county badges identified a member's local Scouting area and often drew on civic or county emblems. This Cheshire example connects the Scout uniform to a local county identity rather than to a single proficiency or award function.
