Description: This rectangular fabric patch is an insignia produced for the Central Yorkshire Scouts in England. It features the iconic white rose of Yorkshire positioned directly over a stylized golden sunburst with sharp, radiating rays. Emerald green sepals peek out from between the cream-colored rose petals, mirroring traditional English heraldry. The base of the dark navy blue wool backing is machine-embroidered with uppercase lettering reading "CENTRAL YORKSHIRE" in a contrasting yellow-gold thread. The entire piece is framed by a tightly stitched, overlocked border designed to withstand heavy wear on a camp uniform sleeve or collector's blanket.
Circa: Mid-Late 20th century
