Material: Bronze-toned metal
Size: 50 mm x 37 mm
Description: Five-pointed campaign star with crowned central device and named surround.
Circa: Modern reproduction
Notes:
The original Air Crew Europe Star commemorated operational flying over Europe during the early years of the Second World War, making it one of the more evocative British campaign stars. Even as a reproduction, the design retains the unmistakable form of a medal closely tied to wartime air service.
The break between the VI are a clear indicator of reproduction on this medal, on the original they are connected at top. 4 pips in crown instead of 4 1/2. Air Crew Europe lettering alignment off slightly and blunter details.
