The 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards were formed in 1922 from the amalgamation of the 4th (Royal Irish) Dragoon Guards and the 7th (Princess Royal’s) Dragoon Guards. Their insignia continued the long-established garter star tradition, here shown in a compact white-metal collar-badge form.
