Obverse: This original, circulated bronze coin is a classic British farthing denomination struck in a composition of copper, tin, and zinc. The obverse face prominently features the bare-headed, left-facing portrait of King George VI, meticulously designed by renowned artist Thomas Humphrey Paget. Enclosing the royal portrait is a raised beaded border and a bold abbreviated Latin legend that reads "GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP.", translating to "George VI by the Grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India". The metal surface displays a natural warm-brown aged patina alongside tiny spots of green verdigris tarnish near the outer rims, adding authentic historical character to the piece.
