Diameter: 20 mm
Mint / Mintmark: Royal Mint, London (no mintmark)
Obverse: The obverse side displays the left-facing, un-crowned profile of King George V, designed by Australian sculptor Bertram Mackennal. Surrounding his portrait is the abbreviated Latin inscription "GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:", declaring him King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, and Emperor of India. The reverse side depicts Leonard Charles Wyon's classic rendering of Lady Britannia seated with a trident and shield, with the word "FARTHING" above her and the year minted below.
