Material: Bronze (95.5 % Copper, 3 % Tin, 1.5 % Zinc)
Diameter: 25.5 mm

Obverse: This standard circulation 1927 United Kingdom pre-decimal halfpenny coin is struck from a traditional bronze alloy composition. The obverse side displays the bare, left-facing profile portrait of King George V, beautifully rendered by the prominent Australian sculptor Sir Edgar Bertram MacKennal. Encircling the portrait along the outer rim is a highly detailed, crisp denticle border enclosing the full imperial Latin legend reading "GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:". The surface exhibits a handsome, mellowed chocolate-brown bronze patina with subtle surface friction, handling wear across the high points of the hair and mustache, and a tiny specks of localized green verdigris tarnish nestled directly above the monarch's crown line.
Reverse: Seated Britannia with trident and Union Jack shield; legend “HALF PENNY” and date below.
Circa: 1927
