Description: This militaria artifact is an official other ranks pattern cap badge representing the Royal Pioneer Corps, the specialized combat labor and engineering branch of the British Army. The central architecture features an intricate array of crossed pioneering tools, specifically a stylized pickaxe and a long-handled entrenching shovel intersecting a vertically oriented rifle. This central cluster is encircled by a dense, symmetrical laurel wreath which is topped by a crisp, high-relief Tudor Crown (King's Crown) denoting its production during the reign of King George VI. Anchoring the wide base is a flowing, multi-part regimental scroll proudly embossed with the uppercase Latin motto text "LABOR OMNIA VINCIT" (Work Conquers All). The reverse side includes a vertical attachment cotter pin sliding securely through dual brazed copper mounting lugs.
