Material: Chromed Metal
Size: 40 mm x 40 mm
Description: This circular military cap badge is stamped from a base metal and finished with a durable, reflective chrome plating layer. The open-center layout features a highly detailed, forward-swooping falcon with fully outstretched wings, poised as if caught mid-flight within the circular border. The inner ring is inscribed with the raised block-lettering title "AIR TRAINING CORPS" across the bottom, balanced cleanly by the single word "AIR" positioned directly at the top. The reverse side features an unmarked surface equipped with original dual wire mounting lugs and a securing pin attachment, allowing it to lock firmly onto a traditional uniform beret or field service cap.
Circa: 1941-1953
Notes:
Founded in 1941, the Air Training Corps provided aviation-minded youth training under RAF sponsorship during the Second World War and after. This King's Crown badge belongs to that earlier period of issue, before the post-1953 transition to the Queen's Crown.
