Material: Chrome-plated brass

Description: This highly polished, circular military uniform button features the detailed insignia of the Star of the most Ancient and most Noble Order of the Thistle. At the very center of the design, a raised, multi-petaled Scottish thistle sits enclosed within a circular band inscribed with the regiment’s historic Latin motto, Nemo Me Impune Lacessit (meaning "No one provokes me with impunity"). An architectural Queen's Crown (St. Edward's pattern) surmounts the central disc, overlaying the top branch of the star’s radiating textured points. The front facade is treated with a bright, mirror-like chrome plating designed to prevent oxidation during grueling outdoor public duties. The reverse is stamped with the prestigious maker's mark of "Gaunt London" and is equipped with a integrated heavy-gauge wire attachment shank.
