Victorian Royal Artillery Button

Under Review

Material: Gilt brass

Size: 20 mm

Description: Worn by soldiers of the British Army or early Commonwealth colonial forces, this tunic button represents the storied lineage of the Royal Regiment of Artillery. The convex front face displays a classic muzzle-loading field gun mounted on a multi-spoke wheeled carriage, resting atop a textured grass baseline strip. Positioned neatly above the weapon vignette is the Queen Victoria Crown (QVC), traditionally easily identified by its soft, rounded imperial arch profiles. The entire design incorporates a robust, solid-struck architecture engineered to survive the friction of field deployments and daily administrative wear on a formal dress uniform coat.

Reverse: Jennens & Co Argyle Place

Circa: 1873 – 1901
