Description: This vest or cuff button features a heavily domed, die-stamped gilt brass face bordered by a distinct roped outer rim. The detailed central design features an upright arm or hand firmly grasping an imperial crown. This crest is enveloped by a circular garter or belt motif containing the company's internal identification insignia or initials. The entire composition is sharply set against an engine-turned background composed of delicate, horizontally lined shading.
Reverse: The reverse showcases a solid, flat brass back-plate that is securely crimped over the outer front shell edge. A prominent, raised circular backmark is cleanly stamped around the central area, possibly reading "MILLER RAYNER & HAYSOM LTD". A heavy, U-shaped brass wire shank is soldered securely right at the absolute center point. Threaded cleanly through this attachment loop is an original, elongated wavy brass split-pin cotter fastener, which functions to clamp the button tightly against reinforced tunic eyelets without needing traditional thread sewing.
