Description: This vintage textile artifact is an official county uniform badge issued by the Boy Scouts Association of the United Kingdom for the Derbyshire Scout County. Measuring 50mm in width by 65mm in height, the woven cloth patch features a vibrant yellow embroidered head of a Derbyshire ram, an iconic regional animal traditionally tied to the local coat of arms. The ram is surrounded by a green laurel wreath tied at the base with red accents, all positioned directly beneath a red and yellow King's Crown. The bottom border displays the abbreviated regional text "DERBYS" rendered in sharp, blocky yellow lettering. This entire emblem is expertly stitched into a dark navy blue, tightly woven fabric backing with cleanly trimmed edges, meant to be sewn onto the sleeve of a scout master or boy scout uniform shirt to denote their localized district.
