Under Review

Material: White metal
Size: 57mm w × 52mm h
Description: This authentic military headdress insignia represents the 14th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment, popularly known as the London Scottish. The white metal badge is built around a centralized St. Andrew's saltire cross superimposed by a bold, finely textured Scottish rampant lion. The core emblem is bordered by a circular ring belt bearing the regiment's ancestral motto "STRIKE SURE" along the sides, paired with a specialized battle honor dedication reading "S. AFRICA 1900-02" across the base plate. Diagonally stretching across the outer quadrants are two distinct unit title banners inscribed with "LONDON" at the top and "SCOTTISH" at the bottom. The entire unit is beautifully framed by an overlapping, dense wreath of traditional Scottish thistles. The reverse side shows a smooth metallic finish complete with its original dual East-West copper attachment lugs designed to pin the badge securely onto a woolen glengarry or feather bonnet headdress.
Circa: 1908-1952
