Air Training Corps Enamel Lapel Badge

Under Review

Material: Gilt Brass and Blue Enamel

Size: 22mm

Description: This vintage military collectible is an original British Air Training Corps (ATC) lapel insignia badge explicitly manufactured for civilian dress attire. The circular design features a polished gilt-brass framework displaying a central, highly detailed falcon in full flight with outspread wings spanning the inner diameter. Encircling the central falcon is a striking ring of vibrant royal blue enamel inlay, sharply embossed with the uppercase gold lettering organization name reading "AIR TRAINING CORPS". The reverse side exhibits a completely smooth, unmarked finish and is fitted with a classic horseshoe-shaped buttonhole lapel clip engineered to slide securely through a civilian suit jacket buttonhole.

Circa: 1941-1946

Notes:

Unlike the larger chrome or white-metal badges pinned directly to uniform berets and side caps, this compact 22mm enamel version was specifically intended for civilian attire. It was proudly worn by young cadets on their everyday school or work jackets to advertise their service and status within the community when not on official duty.
