Material: Blackened brass with gilt highlights
Size: 42 mm w × 52 mm h
Description: Die-stamped in heavy brass, the piece features its original blackened finish designed to reduce battlefield glare and visibility. The architecture of the badge consists of a robust Maltese cross bearing small ball finials on each point, with small heraldic lions nestled tightly within the inner corners. The centralized circular garter reads "THE KINGS ROYAL RIFLE CORPS" and encloses a traditional strung bugle-horn emblem. A prominent Queen Victoria Crown (QVC) surmounts the top arm, while the reverse is fitted with the standard dual-lug fastening configuration intended for secure attachment to a Glengarry or field service cap.
