Under Review

Material: White metal (nickel-silver), die-stamped in high relief
Size: 80 mm w × 90 mm h
Description: This artifact is an authentic late Victorian Home Service Blue Cloth helmet plate belonging to the Other Ranks of the 4th Lancashire Artillery Volunteers. Strikingly die-stamped in silver-toned white metal, the centerpiece displays the British Royal Arms shield supported by the traditional lion and unicorn. Directly underneath the main heraldic crest sits a crisp banner marked "4TH" positioned just above a meticulously rendered field gun pointing to the left. The bottom of the insignia is flanked by a long sweeping scroll embossed with the unit name "LANCASHIRE ARTILLERY VOLUNTEERS".
Circa: 1878-1901
Notes:

Missing the upper crown and lion crest from the top of the Royal Arms.
