Description: This silver-toned metal insignia serves as an officer rank pip for the St. John Ambulance Brigade, a historic international organization dedicated to first aid and humanitarian care. The center of the star features the iconic Maltese Cross emblem, neatly wrapped by a raised ring bearing the capitalized title inscription "ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE". This central medallion is layered over a highly detailed, multi-faceted star design reminiscent of the classic British military Order of the Bath rank pips. The reverse side features a completely unmarked surface outfitted with its original dual horizontal mounting lugs and a temporary brass cotter pin to lock the badge onto a uniform epaulette.
