Material: Bi-metal (white metal lion and scroll; brass base)
Size: 55mm w × 43mm h
Description: This exceptional British military insignia features a masterful bi-metal composition combining a white-metal crest with a warm, golden-toned gilding metal title banner. The central imagery proudly displays the personal crest of the Duke of Wellington: a powerful demi-lion emerging aggressively from a highly detailed ducal coronet while firmly hoisting a multi-pointed flag standard. Directly below the coronet, a three-part white-metal scroll outlines a traditional Latin family maxim in crisp, raised serif lettering. This entire upper arrangement is beautifully supported by a sweeping, wide-winged lower banner crafted from a separate brass alloy that arcs outward to identify the legendary West Riding regional infantry unit.
Reverse: Single unmarked brass slider for attachment.
Circa: 1898-2006
