Under Review

Material: Bi-metal (white metal horse over gilding metal scroll)
Size: 50mm w × 45mm h
Description: The item is a bi-metal military cap badge issued for the uniforms of the King's Regiment (Liverpool). The insignia features the White Horse of Hanover beautifully rendered in crisp white metal, shown galloping dramatically to the left on a detailed heraldic wreath bar. Below the horse is a heavy gilded brass or gilding metal scroll that proudly displays the regiment's title, "THE KING'S", written in an elaborate, stylized Gothic script. The reverse side is completely unmarked and features a long, integrated brass slider bar used to secure the badge firmly to standard military peak caps and berets.
Circa: 1927-1958
Notes:

The King's Regiment (Liverpool) was one of the oldest and most distinguished line infantry regiments in the British Army, tracing its rich history all the way back to 1685. The White Horse of Hanover was awarded to the unit as an official battle honor and heraldic device by King George I in 1716 to reward their loyalty during the Jacobite rising.
