Description: The item is an anodized aluminum cap badge, featuring a brilliant gold finish. The multi-layered design is centered around an eight-pointed starburst pattern, superimposed with a laurel wreath and a Garter band containing the traditional Old French motto "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE". The center contains the cutout royal cypher "EIIR" beneath a prominent Queen's Crown, while a scrolling banner sweeping across the lower star points bears the title "ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS". The reverse features a typical vertical brass slider attachment clip clearly stamped with the manufacturer backmark "R.A. Hughes Ltd".
