Under Review

Material: White metal with brass “KSLI” center
Size: 45mm w × 42mm h
Description: This original British Army other ranks headdress badge is constructed from a striking combination of white metal and brass. The central design is formed by a finely detailed, stringed light infantry bugle horn made of white metal. Suspended directly above the bugle is an intricate, stylized ribbon bow with long dangling tassels, also rendered in white metal. Bridging the open center of the instrument is a separately struck brass bar bearing the distinct regimental abbreviation letters "KSLI" in high-relief block text. On the reverse side, the badge is fitted with a solid, long brass mounting slider used to securely fix the insignia onto a standard service cap, peaked cap, or beret.
Circa: 1898-1968
