Material: Brass (gilding metal)
Size: 40 mm W × 45 mm H
Description: This striking tactical insignia was worn on the headgear of other ranks serving within the Scots Guards, a senior regiment of the British Army's Household Division. The design features an eight-pointed radiant star configuration constructed entirely out of stamped brass metal. Positioned prominently at the absolute center is a detailed thistle flower surrounded by a crisp circular banner bearing the raised national motto "NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT."
Reverse: The un-hallmarked reverse side mirrors the hollow contours of the intense striking process and retains its dual original brass wire mounting loops used to split-pin the crest to fabric.
Circa: 1895-1952
