Under Review

Material: Anodized Aluminum
Size: 38 mm w × 45 mm h
Description: This insignia represents the post-1953 design for the Corps of Royal Engineers, featuring the personal royal cipher "EIIR" of Queen Elizabeth II at its center. The cipher is encircled by the iconic Garter band bearing the Old French motto "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE," which translates to "Shame on him who thinks evil of it." A highly detailed laurel wreath borders the circular frame, all surmounted by the St. Edward’s Crown to denote service under the Queen. The bottom scroll clearly spells out "ROYAL ENGINEERS" across its face. This specific example demonstrates a two-tone appearance, combining a silver-colored outer wreath with a golden-toned central garter and crown structure.

Circa: Mid to Late 20th Century
