Description: This authentic British military uniform item belongs to the Royal Corps of Signals, the combat support branch responsible for providing telecommunications and information systems to the British Army. The central device features a detailed white-metal representation of Mercury, the winged messenger of the gods, who is affectionately known across the regiment as "Jimmy." The running figure balances on his left foot upon a small silver globe, holding his iconic caduceus staff in his left hand while raising his right hand forward to symbolize swift, clear communication. This central figure is enclosed within a solid golden brass oval band that is inscribed with the unit title, ROYAL CORPS OF SIGNALS. The entire oval ring is flanked by delicate laurel sprays along the base and is topped by a beautifully defined Imperial Tudor King's Crown. The reverse is completely unbranded and is fitted with a solid vertical brass slider.
