Description: This die-struck brass military headgear insignia represents the historic Royal Regiment of Artillery. The design features an detailed muzzle-loading field gun complete with an exposed spoked wheel and a carriage trail facing to the right. An arched title banner reading "UBIQUE" rests directly above the cannon wheel, which is proudly topped by a distinct Tudor King's Crown. A long, flowing three-part scroll anchors the lower edge of the piece and displays the regiment's traditional Latin motto, "QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT". The reverse side features a completely plain, unmarked vertical slider attachment designed to slide securely into service caps or field service berets.
Circa: 1901-1952
Notes:
The Latin mottos etched into the design translate to "Everywhere" and "Where Right and Glory Lead," which were specifically granted to the unit by King William IV to replace individual battle honors since the artillery fought in almost every major British engagement.
