Material: Brass
Size: 45mm w x 35mm h
Description: This British Army cap badge features the iconic ordnance field gun design of the Royal Regiment of Artillery, intricately die-stamped in gilding metal. Atop the gun carriage sits the Tudor Crown, commonly known as the King's Crown, which rests cleanly above a small upper scroll reading "UBIQUE". A long, lower sweeping scroll frames the bottom of the piece, bearing the grand regimental Latin motto "QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT". The reverse side holds a long, thick, functional slider tab stamped with the William Dowler Birmingham maker mark. Heavily worn from extensive physical deployment, the face displays a smooth, naturally aged gold-toned patina that softens the sharp original details of the multi-spoked central tire wheel and cannon barrel.
Reverse: Plain brass with slider fitting, marked DOWLER BIRMINGHAM.
Circa: 1939-1952
