Description: This uniform element is an original other ranks' bi-metal cap badge issued for The Prince of Wales's (North Staffordshire Regiment). The distinct multi-piece construction features a central brass Staffordshire knot overlaid onto a white metal base. Surmounting the knot are the Prince of Wales's feathers emerging from a detailed coronet, which sits directly above a small white metal scroll bearing the traditional motto "ICH DIEN" (I serve). Anchoring the entire design at the base is a sweeping white metal title scroll cleanly stamped with the text "NORTH STAFFORD". The reverse slider is broken.
