Clan MacLellan Scottish Crest Badge

Under Review

Material: White Metal
Size: 40 mm w × 50 mm h
Description: The cast metal circular device features the distinctive crest of a Moor's head bleeding on the tip of an upright sword, positioned directly above a twisted heraldic wreath torse. Wrapping around this striking central motif is a detailed garter-style strap punctuated with small circular rivets and secured by a finely rendered buckle at the bottom left. Embossed across the top curve of the strap are the capitalized words "THINK ON," which serves as the centuries-old warning and rallying cry of the lineage. The reverse side features a horizontal, unmarked pin back configuration that spans the open center to provide a solid attachment point for uniform wear on formal wool attire.
Circa: Late 19th Century to Present
Notes:
The grim imagery on this Clan MacLellan Crest Badge stems from a famous 15th-century Galloway legend where Sir William MacLellan defeated a notorious bandit terrorizing the region and presented the outlaw's severed head to the King on the point of his sword.
