The Lowland Regiment Cap Badge

Under Review

Material: White Metal

Size: 40 mm w × 47 mm h
Description: Large St Andrew’s Cross behind a central thistle, flanked by thistle leaves; two scrolls inscribed LOWLAND REGIMENT across the cross arms.
Reverse: Plain white metal with four original copper lugs.
Circa: 1942 – 1949
Notes:
The Lowland Regiment was formed in 1942 as part of the Scottish Command reorganization during WWII, intended to consolidate recruiting and training for the southern Scottish infantry. The regiment was disbanded in 1949, making this badge a short-lived and now scarce pattern. Produced only in white metal for Other Ranks.
