Material: Brass
Size: 60mm w × 45mm h
Description: The badge is struck in high-relief gilding brass and centers upon a beautifully detailed, multi-layered Red Rose of Lancaster complete with delicate sepals and a textured seed pod core. The heraldic flower is flanked on either side by stylized leaf fronds and rests directly above a wide, upward-curved title scroll stamped with the words "LANCASHIRE HUSSARS I.Y." in bold capital lettering. The reverse is unmarked and fitted with a slider for attachment.

Notes:
The "I.Y." designation was introduced nationwide following the unit's brave volunteer service during the Second Boer War, a title meant to signify their updated status as an elite imperial cavalry force.
