Material: Chrome-plated metal (modern issue)
Size: 42mm w × 52mm h
Description: The design explicitly features the stag’s head caboshed from the Seaforth Highlanders insignia superimposed over a broad Saltire cross of Saint Andrew, all resting above a textured motto scroll bearing the Gaelic phrase "CUIDICH 'N RIGH". The motto translates directly to "Help the King," a historic battle cry originating from the clan MacKenzie. Fabricated from lightweight anodized aluminum this specific manufacturing choice completely eliminated the tedious necessity of daily metal polishing for active-duty infantrymen, providing a perennially reflective silver sheen that maintained its finish through grueling field maneuvers.
