Material: White metal
Size: 45mm w × 42mm h
Description: The badge is intricately die-stamped in bright white metal, featuring a traditional, curved light infantry powder horn fitted with detailed bands and a central string binding. Suspended directly between the cords of the horn are two large, distinct hanging tassels positioned underneath a stylized coronet of a Royal Duke. An elegant, upward-arching title scroll loops gracefully through the coronet’s base and across the upper half of the horn, cleanly stamped with the word "CORNWALL" in raised, serif capital lettering.
Reverse: Unmarked; brass slider.
Circa: 1898-1959
Notes:
The specialized ducal coronet at the apex explicitly references Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, while the overall design honors the unit's historic stand during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
