Description: The artifact is a beautifully preserved officer's pattern glengarry badge, intricately formed in high-grade silver. The design centers around a crisp, multi-faceted five-pointed star, known heraldically as a mullet, which sits directly above a traditional strung horn. Framing the central elements are two dense, asymmetrical sprays of native thistles, meeting elegantly at the lower base. The reverse side features formal British sterling assay hallmarks stamped directly into the metal plate, though the original mounting pin and securing latch mechanisms have been lost to time.
