Auxiliary Territorial Service Brass Cap Badge

Under Review

Material: Gilt brass
Size: 35mm w × 40mm h
Description: The design centers on a prominent stylized monogram featuring the letters "ATS" intertwined inside a beautifully structured laurel wreath. Crowning the top of the open circular wreath is the iconic Tudor Crown, which symbolizes royal allegiance and British Army authority during the mid-20th century. The brass badge utilizes a completely open, voided center that allows the colored fabric of a uniform cap or hat to show through clearly. The back is fitted with a solid, un-stamped brass slider meant for seamlessly anchoring the insignia into a standard field service or soft ski-pattern cap.
Circa: 1938–1949
Notes:

This insignia was worn by members of the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS), the women's branch of the British Army during World War II whose ranks famously included Princess Elizabeth, later Queen Elizabeth II.
