Description: This is a standard die-cast nickel "Three Years' Service" award badge manufactured for the British youth organization, the Boys' Brigade. The insignia features the post-1926 unified organization emblem, combining the original founding symbol of a fouled anchor with a central Greek cross. The cross symbolizes the Christian foundation of the movement, while the anchor represents the spiritual anchoring mentioned in Hebrews 6:19. The crossbar of the anchor reads "SURE," and the curved lower fluke is embossed with "& STEDFAST," mimicking the organization's biblical motto. Flanking the central cross are the letters "B" and "B" for Boys' Brigade, and a small loop sits atop the stock where a suspension ring or chain could attach. The reverse features a classic pin and hooked catch fitting alongside the stamped maker's mark of the prominent Birmingham insignia firm, "H.W. Miller Ltd."
