Earthy Ochre Turkish Red Crescent Postal Tax Stamp

Under Review

Description: This is an official postal tax charity stamp issued by the Republic of Turkey, supporting the Turkish Red Crescent Society (Türkiye Kızılay Cemiyeti). The central graphic composition positions a stylized terrestrial globe overlayed by a large, billowing white flag that flies the humanitarian red crescent symbol. Emerging vertically across the flag's staff, a delicate green leafy branch injects a symbolic theme of peace and recovery. Bold typography along the lower base explicitly spells out the organization's name in two clear lines as "TÜRKİYE KIZILAY / CEMİYETİ". The fractional face value denomination is cleanly tucked into the top left corner, reading "1 / KURUŞ".

Circa: 1957-1958

Condition: Used - Hinged

Notes:

During specific national observation windows, religious holidays, and charity drives, the Turkish postal system legally required citizens to add these stamps to all domestic envelopes to generate independent funding for national disaster relief, medical supplies, and humanitarian outreach programs.
